Last week it rained oodles and oodles here in Northern Nevada. We are a desert region so it was nice to see BIG puddles everywhere. The kids all ran out and jumped in the puddles with their bare feet. I joined them but with my red rain boots that have pink polka dots all over them. It was a blast!

Funny: I love my daughter's way of saying things and will miss it when she learns the correct ways. Stuff like 'men-a-lade' for lemonade, 'dubloon' for balloon, 'wex' for x, and 'mushmellow' for marshmallow.

While assembling furniture, my friend Debbie asked her roommate's five-year-old son to bring her a screwdriver.
"Do you want a 'Daddy' screwdriver or a 'Mommy' screwdriver?" the little boy asked.
Confused but preoccupied, Debbie absentmindedly said, "Bring me a 'Mommy' screwdriver."
The child came back and handed her a butter knife.
Thought it was cute!

We call my one-year-old "Cookie Monster" because that is all he asks for. As soon as I pick him up out of his crib in the morning he starts chanting "cookie, cookie, cookie, cookie....", in monotone, over and over. He recites his cookie mantra while eating his oatmeal and drinking his milk, until finally, I give him a beloved cookie. It's funny, whenever he gets really happy or excited he yells "Cookie!". I guess "Cookie" is his "Silly Wagon"!

something funny: yesterday my husband was telling my 2.5 year old to help clean up the play room because it was a big mess (it really was to the point there was nowhere to walk!) and my son replied, "no, it not messy!" :)

We call our son (22 months) "Mr. Dingle" when he dances around naked. This of course makes him dance more furiously and giddily. Think Flash Dance. Too cute.
