Oilily Midnight Garden Fall and Winter Collection 2007
I am just loving this Oilily season, Midnight Garden is so fun and whimsical. I was a little nervous, at first but once I actually saw all of the fabulous fabrics and prints I got that cool, funky Oilily feeling again...it's so playful and the fabrics are amazing. The surprise details never cease to amaze me with Oilily girls clothing, the way a ruffle will just pop up in the least expected places...I love how this Dosa dress has an apron tie-style back with ruffles on the bum, making what seemingly was a typical A-frame style dress and making it Oilily-Fabulous! We just can't get enough Oilily, whether its a pair of Oilily socks or tights, a fun graphic t-shirt or a rolling suitcase or backpack...Oilily is high design, highly detailed, amazing quality and a real scene stealer. The Fusion Bag is truly gorgeous and can be used as a handbag just as easily as it can be put to use as a diaper bag, and a rather pretty one at that!

I must be completely insane...oh, and a little note on Trumpette
When Our Little Gigi was itty bitty, we discovered Trumpette Mary Jane socks ...along with the rest of the baby making population! Anywhere we went, we would get oohs and ahhs and Oh my gosh, I though those were really tiny Mary Janes, those are SOCKS??! kind of comments. I was a bit sad when Our Little Gigi stopped being so itty bitty and could no longer wear her cute socks, of which she had the brights AND the pastels (of course) and I longed for either a new baby (ok, not really) or a bigger sock (much better plan Whitney, no doubt) Well, then they came out with a BOYS line of cool, innovative and make you wish you had a little pair of feet to cover socks, Little Johnny's... nope, still not biting, I think we'll stick with the 2 kids we got and give the socks as gifts (less messy and cheaper strategy over all) But ooh, they have monkey socks now too...hmmm. Yes, I am seriously considering putting my body through the tortuous journey that is pregnancy, once again. I must be insane, because I have a 2 year old and an about to turn 4 year old (17 months difference, for those of you who might be interested) So, here is what we have learned today my dear reader ( I assume I only really have one, but if there are more of you, feel free to speak up!) We have learned that Whitney is suddenly drawn to baby items again, which can only mean one thing....baby fever. We have learned that Whitney has had this mental illness a time or two before. We have learned that if Mr. Whitney doesn't want any more kids, he ought to go out of town on business a LOT more often...Oh, and most importantly we have learned that The Silly Wagon has Trumpette socks that are way too cute to be ignored. OOOH I almost forgot to mention the AMAZING new Rain Boots. Yes, Mary Jane rain boots even. They are impossibly cute and a total "must have" and we almost never say that.
Wow, wonderboy!! It's sooo money, Baby!
Yes, I know, the "w" in wonderboy is not capitalized. They made that design choice and I rather like it...it describes their style. Wonderful but understated, cool and yet slightly classic. The only thing trendy in this line is the fabulous Hi Ho Silver belt, that makes me wonder why they didn't make Mommy and Me matching outfits...and I am not a Mommy and Me matching outfit kind of woman. I have to say that the Jack Frost Jacket is really divine, that lush fine-wale corduroy is just delicious on a cool Fall evening. The lining is the same as the Casbah button-down shirt, and I love it. The whole line this Fall/Winter feels very Vegas, very Swingers (the movie...Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau, at their very best!) Now do you remember the catch phrase that could be heard all over America back in 1996...."It's sooo money, baby!"
