We here at The Silly Wagon feel that Breast Cancer has become a dirty word, the kind your grandparents whisper at the dining table. We want to bring that dirty word into the light and make women MORE aware of it, help them to help themselves and remind their friends to do their breast exams, too. It's a topic that is not usually discussed at playgroups but it should be, shouldn't it?? We encourage you and your friends to make a day this month to get your friends together and talk about breast cancer and how to do your part to wipe out this terrible disease.
The Silly Wagon will be doing posts about breast cancer all month long, so make sure you check back with us for more discussion. We are also putting our money where our mouth is and donating 10% of the profits from sales throughout the entire store. We will be donating this money to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness from October 4th through October 19th...we will also be providing information on where to volunteer, donate, or help out in numerous ways throughout the month of October!
